Why do I still need this? Doesn't GPS solve the problem?
Most First Responders memorize the streets in their jurisdictions as part of their job, but they don't usually memorize every single address location. Their knowledge of the streets combined with GPS gets them to within two to three houses of their destination very fast.
The challenge then becomes to quickly confirm which of these homes is their destination. As one Fire Chief stated, "When we are getting close, we light up the entire side of the street because too often, the address isn't visible or might be blocked by a tree or simply not there, so we do everything we can to not lose important seconds and minutes trying to identify our target destination."
Isn't a painted address number on the curb just as good?
Painted addresses don't reflect and only last 1-2 years and then they have to be redone. Not only are our signs visible from 150 yards away at night and twice as reflective as the average stop sign, they are guaranteed to last for 12 years.
Why do you recommend the two sign solution?
As we collaborated with First Responders, we quickly learned how big of a deal it can be when the address isn't easily identified. The two sign solution for a traditional mailbox allows first responders to see the address from both directions. The two sign solution for a home with a porch step and curb allows the address to be found even if the curb address is blocked by a car, snow, leaves, etc.
How hard is the installation?
We don't use bolts, fasteners, or drill holes. If you can open up a tube of tooth paste and squirt it out, you can install our signs. Our adhesive comes in a twist cap tube that you simply squeeze out to to the back of the sign and stick it on to the curb, porch, step, or mailbox. And it is guaranteed to stay there for 12 years minimum...the same guarantee as our signs. Check out the installation video here.
What if a car tire rubs up against the sign when they pull up to my curb?
Not only do we use 3M's highest graded DG3 Diamond Grade reflective, we cover it with a protective overlay that is Graffiti resistant. This technology seals the sign so that if car tire puts a black mark on it, you can use a cleanser to clean it off without damaging the sign.
Because we don't use fasteners, bolts, or screws, our signs lie flat against the curb so it protects the sign from getting caught or ripped off by the tire.
How do you guarantee the sign for life?
We use the most advanced materials available combined with the most advanced manufacturing technology. Our proprietary process allows us to guarantee that your address sign will last for as long as you live at your home.
Won't the sun and UV rays damage the sign over time?
Every one of our signs has a UV protectant overlay which protects the sign from UV damage. This is one of the reasons why our signs last so long.
How long does it take to get my signs?
It takes 4-6 weeks to manufacture the signs and then they are shipped directly to your home for you to install. We do not start manufacturing the signs until the fundraiser concludes.
Can't I just go buy some stick on numbers at Home Depot or on Amazon instead?
Yes, there are lots of inferior solutions out there. But nothing comes close to the effectiveness and longevity of our solution. There is a reason the DOT requires this technology to be used on Federal Highways. Most other products are significantly less effective and don't last nearly as long. All of our signs come with a Life Time warranty.
What is the sign made of?
It starts with a treated aluminum plate that will last for decades. We digitally print the address number on 3M's DG3 Diamond Grade reflective and then with our proprietary process, we combine the aluminum plate, the Diamond Grade reflective along with 3M's 1160i UV and Graffiti resistant overlay with a proprietary process that allows us to guarantee the signs for life.
